Description

I was on the hunt for wall-mounted steps to help my cats easily climb up to a higher platform or shelf. Not finding exactly what I needed, I decided to design my own customizable solution. These "CatStairsUp" steps are perfect for screwing directly onto the wall, providing a safe and sturdy ascent for your feline friends-especially helpful for older cats or those with mobility issues. They're 3D printable, easy to assemble, and can be scaled to fit your space.

On the top surface, l've designed it with the intention of adding glued-on carpet or rug material to provide better traction and grip for your cats' paws, preventing slips during climos.

This simple modification enhances safety, especially on smooth 3D-printed surfaces, and you can easily customize it with any pet-safe adhesive and carpet scraps. If your cats are particularly adventurous or heavy, consider using a high-grip fabric like sisal for even more durability!

I'm sharing this model in hopes it benefits other cat owners out there

—feel free to remix or adapt it!

Printed using matte white PETG filament from Extrudr, with a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.24mm layer height for optimal detail and strength.

To ensure superior layer adhesion and overall durability-especially important for supporting your cat's weight—| printed at an elevated temperature and incorporated a 20% infill/wall overlap. The model uses 20% infill by default, which provides a great balance of lightness and sturdiness, but this can easily be adjusted downward for lighter cats or upward for heavier ones to suit your needs. Feel free to tweak other settings like speed or cooling based on your printer's capabilities for the best results!
