“The Aliens”

Gallactic Farming!

Next up in my Alien line-up is your Alien Buddy that is ready to do some farming, or more likely to go see the town Rodeo instead perhaps!! Boots, cut-off jean shorts and a straw hat, the final result is about 6.5 inches tall! Please note, there are 2 different plates for the hat, due to the  organic shape of the hat, if you have issues printing the one-piece hat plate there is a back-up plate option for a hat that is split into 2 halfs, doesn't look AS good due to the seam, but is there as a backup option!

Kicking off an upload of a project I've been (and likely will continue to) working on over the last week with countless design and test print hours. I intorduce to you my line up of “The Aliens" ! Custom Alien figurines done in a veriety of lifestyles. No rhime or reason behind how these came about, there have been many nights I had an idea pop into my head RIGHT as I'm falling asleep. My 3d printers have literally printing printing non-stop over the last several days with test print iterations of these guys.

The inspiration for the idea came from watching Paul, a movie I absolutely love. But Paul has been recerated many times over, and I wanted to give a different, fun twist to your own personal Desktop Alien buddy! There are endless possibilities, and I don't know how far I'll take all of the ideas I currently have, so drop me a comment if there is something you REALLY want to see as a model in this line up!

The models are all a combination of both Multicolor-AMS prints as well as separated body parts. I wanted to reduce AMS print times, but the intent was not to have a NO AMS version. Obviously folks with H2D/H2C printers will be able to print some of the 2-color prints much faster, but they are reasonable enough to print on a standard AMS/AMS2 setup.

Assembly

For the assembly, all of the parts are designed to be a snug press-fit. Please be careful inserting the pegs as they can be fragile. If you have a peg that is a little too tight I recomment giving it a quick scrape with your parts scraper. On the other hand, if you find a connection a bit loose, you may need to drop a bit of glue during assembly. Just about all of my parts I've test printed went together great, but I did find that filament brand/type definitely impacted toleranced.

Thank you for looking, and enjoy the print!

Thank you for visiting my page and taking the time to print my models. Your support is truly appreciated. I never expected to have so many people following me and fueling my passion for creating the models that I create!
