Description

Tired of grocery bags rolling around in your trunk? This grocery bag hook is designed to fit an 18mm hole in the ceiling of a car trunk. Once installed, I estimate my PETG version could hold at least 50lb without failing. These are also known as a trunk cargo hook or trunk utility hook.

The second plate contains another style hook designed to hold my snow scraper while fitting a 15mm hole since that's what a 2017 Subaru Impreza has further back in the trunk.

The end of the peg is designed to expand about 2mm when installed. This means that the hook will have a fair amount of wobble, but should be at no risk of falling out as long as the hole is 18mm and 15mm. Try scaling the model if your vehicle has a different size hole, as I designed this specifically for my 2017 Subaru Impreza.

Installation note:
Stiffer materials like ABS or PLA are liable to snap with the expanding that is necessary to install the peg, so this prints best in PETG. You will also want to apply a little temporary lubricant to the inside of the peg before inserting the expanding pin, as it's a tight fit with a fair amount of friction otherwise.
