⏰ LED Matrix Clock (8×32) – smart, compact & a real eye-catcher! 💡🤖

I designed an LED matrix clock which consists of four 8×8 matrix modules and is controlled by an ESP8266
The clock runs with a proven GitHub project and is perfect for the desk, shelf, or workbench.

🖨️ Print & Design:

🔹 Front in white filament, body in black
🔹 AMS recommended for two-color printing
🔹 Alternatively: print the entire clock in single-color white
🔹 Modern, clear design – focus on the display

🔌 Wiring Diagram:

ESP8266 → Matrix module (MAX7219)

🔹 5V → VCC
🔹 GND → GND
🔹 D5 → DIN
🔹 D6 → CS
🔹 D7 → CLK

🧩 Assembly & Construction:

🔹 ESP8266 is inserted sideways into the designated holder
→ sits snugly, no gluing necessary

🔹 Matrix module should be glued (recommended: only 2 corners)
→ as manufacturing tolerances are relatively high

🔹 The modules usually come with connection cables
→ after rotating the pins 180° simply plug them together
