Click-Click Minidisc Drawer

Update: This drawer now includes a version which holds sleeved Minidiscs! I have now been able to test this version and I can confirm it fits all types of MD sleeves I have, including the regular ones, 3D printed ones as well as the tiny sleeve-sized jewel cases.

This is a drawer that uses a click-click mechanism like you would find on a ballpoint pen, but for storing Minidiscs! Each drawer holds up to 30 unsleeved or 20 sleeved discs, depending on which version you print. The drawers can be stacked using the included stacking lid, shell & ring, and both sizes can be stacked together if you have both sleeved and unsleeved discs to store.

You can print any combination of lid & shell, they are all interchangeable. The plate for the shell by default includes the stacking lid, but if you only plan on printing one, you can swap it for the flat lid to have no visible stacking geometry.

What is a Minidisc??

Minidisc, or MD, was a music format designed by Sony in the 90s as a replacement for Compact Cassette. It mostly saw use in Japan and Europe, though can be found rarely all over the world. Some people (like myself) still use it to this day. I've been looking for somewhere to store my collection but haven't found anything I really like.

Non 3D printed parts:

There are a few non-printed parts for this build. You will need two springs, at least 20mm long, and around 8-10mm in diameter, as well as 7x M2x12mm screws per drawer.
