Description
The few BNC connector protectors that I have been able to download had measurement problems, generally being too large and requiring resizing. So I got to work and designed some universal protectors for BNC connectors that do not require modifications
The universal model I have designed is inserted into the connector with a small 90º turn. There are versions with numerical inscriptions, arrows, or without any inscription
The other model I include consists of specific caps for Rigol brand oscilloscopes; specifically for the new DHO800/900 series. These are direct-entry caps (without rotation) that remain attached to the connector via an articulated loop, thus preventing them from being lost in this simple way. They have number inscriptions (from 1 to 4) corresponding to the input they protect. It is possible that they are suitable for other instrument models, but it will always depend on their design. The previous 90º turning design can also be used interchangeably, which is a matter of personal preference. I have printed them in PETG no supports and with a layer height of 0.15.

INSTALLATION OF THE SPECIFIC PROTECTOR FOR RIGOL OSCILLOSCOPES
To attach the loop to the BNC protector, follow these steps
First, align the two pieces by one of the two axes and then press until a “clack” sound is heard and the other axis is inserted. Finally, check the rotation of the pieces by turning them against each other

To join the loop with the BNC protector follow these steps:
First match the two pieces on one of the two axles and then press until a “clack” sounds and the other axle is inserted. Finally, check the rotation of the pieces by rotating them relative to each other.


To insert the loop, align its small notch with one of the two guides of the BNC connector, then with one end already inserted, rotate 180º until it re-enters through the other guide. As a final step, rotate the entire assembly to the position shown in the photo
