Description

Description

The 1:159 scale model of the “Soyuz-2 Stage 1a” launch vehicle with the “Soyuz-MS” manned spacecraft consists of 24 parts. The height of the finished model is 320 mm.

Recommendations

  • You can scale the model. However, if reduced, there is a risk that some small elements will not be printed. I have not tried to print this smaller model, so I would appreciate it if you would share your experience.
  • The print profile has quite specific parameters, but specifically in my case it works fine:
    • The printing time with a 0.4mm nozzle is approximately 11 hours;
    • The printing time with a 0.2mm nozzle with a layer height of 0.06mm will be approximately 25 hours.
  • The components of the rocket are specially divided into several parts to minimize the time spent on eliminating possible defects. However, if necessary, you can change the model. To do this, I have attached a .blend file with a rocket model.
  • The finished parts must be glued together. The first-stage engines will probably hold up well without this, but I still recommend putting them on glue.
