Description
Ski & Snowboard Tuning / Waxing Vice – 3 Positions
This is a compact and rigid tuning & waxing vice designed for skis and snowboards. I created it to be simple, stable, and easy to print, while covering the most useful working positions.
Supported positions:
- Flat (lay down) – for waxing and base work
- On the edge – for edge tuning
- 45° position – comfortable angle for precise edge work
The 45° handle can be filled with an additional printed insert, which increases support and creates more space when using the flat (lay down) position.
In the flat position, there is a dedicated recess for gluing silicone pads (35x10x2) to improve grip and protect the base.
👉 Silicone pads can be found on AliExpress (https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_c2uWkMbH).
Mounting:
- Can be mounted to a desk or workbench using a clamp
- Clamp is fixed to the base with an M8 × 40 mm countersunk bolt
- For thicker tables, a 10 mm extender can be printed and added
- To screw down the entire vice to the table, use an M8 × 60 mm metric bolt with a screw cap
- A TPU-printed protective cap is used on the table side to avoid scratching
