TenStar Pull‑Lock Mechanism — Standard & Compact
Print Profile(1)

Bill of Materials
Description
TenStar Pull‑Lock Mechanism is a multi‑layer kinetic object designed to move smoothly, pull upward, and lock together in a satisfying, controlled motion. Each layer is printed separately and assembles without tools, creating a dynamic stacked star that shifts and aligns as you interact with it.
This model has been printed and tested at multiple scales, including a full 150 mm version and a compact 50% version. All sizes function reliably thanks to the geometry’s inherent tolerance‑friendly design. Whether you prefer a large display piece or a pocket‑sized kinetic fidget, the mechanism scales cleanly and maintains its motion and feel.
Two editions are included in this project:
- Plate 1: Standard Edition
- Plate 2: Compact Height Edition
Both versions share the same motion and assembly style, giving you flexibility depending on your preferred size, weight, and print time.
This is a visually striking, mechanically engaging object that prints cleanly on most machines and rewards experimentation with colour, scale, and orientation.
