360° Camera Mirror Mount - No-Scratch Design

Overview

Securely mount your 360° or Action Camera to your car's rearview mirror. This design features a protective system to keep your car scratch-free and custom-printed knobs for easy adjustment.

Measure:

• To help you verify compatibility with your vehicle, please refer to the two render images included in the gallery which show the detailed measurements. Please note that the maximum vertical clearance is 64mm. Make sure your mirror's height does not exceed this limit for a proper fit.
• If your mirror is smaller than the mount, don't worry! You can achieve a perfect fit by gluing extra foam padding to the top and bottom inner surfaces of the C-bracket. This will fill the gap, provide extra grip, and keep the mount perfectly centered.

Build Instructions:

1. Print the parts.
2. Press-fit the M5 screw head into the printed knob.
3. Add an M5 washer and a foam/rubber pad on the tip of the screw to protect your mirror.

The screw and washer are designed for a press-fit assembly. There is no need for sanding, gluing, or any post-processing; everything fits perfectly right off the build plate.

To prevent any scratches on your car, I used (as in the following image) small adhesive foam pads. I simply cut them to the size of the M5 screw tip and glued them on. This ensures a secure grip while protecting the back mirror's surface.
 

I applied two layers of foam padding instead of one to prevent it from being crushed too thin. This ensures a durable cushion that protects the mirror even after long-term use.

This mount was designed and tested specifically for my car's rearview mirror. Since mirror dimensions vary significantly across different car makes and models, it may not be compatible with all vehicles. Please check the dimensions of the mount before printing or attempting installation.
