This version was redesigned and adapted specifically for the KWS Rack v.2 system.

What is this?

This is a 4U Synology 4‑bay NAS module designed exclusively for the KWS Rack v.2 - Heavy‑Duty 10‑Inch Homelab Rack.

It allows you to mount your Synology NAS securely, cleanly, and rock‑solid inside the rack, while preserving:

• Proper airflow
• Rear fan alignment
• Clean front connectivity
• On a heavy-duty KWS Rack base

⚠️ Important - This module was designed and fit for KWS Rack v.2 ONLY

Compatible Synology models

This module fits Synology 4‑bay models that share the same chassis structure and dimensions, including:

• DS923+
• DS920+
• DS918+
• DS916+

(If your model uses the same 4‑bay enclosure and rear fan layout, it should fit.)

What’s included in the model

Front panel (4U) 

• 5× standard keystone slots
• Supports common keystone modules
• Unused slots can be closed using a printed blank keystone

Rear panel

• Precisely aligned with Synology rear fan openings
• Maintains correct airflow and cooling behavior

Heavy‑duty base (KWS Rack v.2)

• The same base used in the official KWS Rack v.2 kit - don't print it if you already did
• Optional heat‑set inserts on the sides if you want to install side stoppers

Stoppers

• Side stopper
• Top stopper

Together they lock the NAS in place and prevent any side‑to‑side movement inside the rack.
