High-Grip Mounting System for 22.2 mm Handlebars
This is a standalone clamp designed to mount shifters, dropper posts, and e-bike remotes independently from your brake levers.
The design is optimized for M5 bolts and features a flat mounting surface to ensure compatibility with a wide range of hardware and adapters.
Advanced Structural Design
The clamp features a variable 3mm profile with a central recess, mimicking the original Magura structural design. This "H-beam" geometry optimizes the strength-to-weight ratio, providing maximum rigidity where it's needed most while maintaining a sleek, OEM-style aesthetic.
To ensure the best possible hold, the internal surface features a Fuzzy Skin texture, maximizing grip on carbon and alloy bars without requiring excessive bolt torque.
To maximize structural integrity, the models are oriented vertically on their side. This ensures that the clamping forces act along the continuous path of the printed layers rather than against them. This orientation prevents inter-layer delamination (layer splitting) under tension, making the clamp significantly stronger and safer for trail use.
Available Sizes & Targeted Compatibility (on different plates):
- 12mm (Slim)
Optimized for SRAM Eagle discrete clamps and compact Dropper Post remotes (e.g., Fox Transfer, OneUp, RockShox Reverb). - 18mm (Standard)
The go-to size for standalone SRAM (Trigger) and Shimano (Deore/XT) shifters. - 20mm (Large):
Specifically designed for Magura MT5/MT7 (Shiftmix interface) and wide-base e-bike controllers. - 22mm (Oversize):
Best for heavy-duty E-bike displays and larger integrated remotes (Bosch, Specialized).
Note on the Print Profile:
The provided profile is set to PLA for maximum accessibility and to allow for quick prototyping and fitment testing. However, for actual outdoor use, I would recommend :
- PLA (Profile Default): Perfect for checking the fit on your handlebar and verifying ergonomics. Be cautious using it on the trail, as it can be brittle and sensitive to high temperatures (sunlight).
- PETG: The recommended minimum for real-world use. It offers better flexibility and weather resistance.
- ASA / ABS: Excellent for UV resistance and durability if you leave your bike in the sun.
- PA-CF (Nylon Carbon): The gold standard. It provides the stiffness and professional finish of high-end bike components.
