New BJ40/BJ40 Extended Range Streaming Rearview Mirror Camera Rain Shield

While using the new BJ40/BJ40 Extended Range, I noticed the rear streaming camera was always blurry in the rain. Although there are similar products on Taobao, I was puzzled by their color and size mismatch with the car, so I created my own and painted it.

This creation offers two models: a round rain shield and a square rain shield. The round rain shield better matches the original car's curve, while the square rain shield adds a mood bump similar to the original car's roof spoiler function.

The model itself does not have rounded edges, but sanding is recommended for car use. After sanding, the sharp corners will mostly become nice arcs.

3mm holes are reserved on the fitting surface behind the model. M3 screws can be used for mounting, then it can be sprayed and dried. After three coats of primer, it is recommended to wet sand after drying.

After applying the clear coat, it is recommended to wait for more than 3 days to dry before wet sanding and polishing.

If the sanding and painting process is done correctly, you will get a rain shield that is indistinguishable from the original factory color. For installation, it is recommended to use VHB tape or body adhesive. Since the original fitting surface is curved, to avoid increasing printing difficulty, thicker VHB can be used for adhesion.

It is recommended to print with ABS/ASA.
