Description
SCALE MODEL OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM
I present this model featuring the planets of the solar system, represented to scale
It is specially designed to help the little ones at home easily and visually understand the size differences between our neighboring planets
PRINTING
I have uploaded different print profiles
For the base, I have uploaded two. Both share the characteristic of using a different filament for the print and for the support base. This is because the spaces for housing the planets on the base plate must be very smooth for them to fit correctly. It is a known fact that normal supports stick too much, leaving an uneven surface when removed
However, if someone requests it in the comments, I can upload a profile with normal supports
ASSEMBLY
I have published a video on YouTube and other platforms where I detail the assembly process in just 30 seconds
It requires glue, I personally recommend using two-component epoxy resin
FILAMENTS:
For the platform, the type of filament used is irrelevant, although my choice of colors was made to achieve suitable contrast with the background and make the main words stand out from the rest. However, I strongly recommend printing the planets with PETG Translucent filament
