This bust depicts Marie Curie (1867–1934), an extraordinary scientist, pioneer of radioactivity research, and one of the most influential figures in the history of science. The sculpture is inspired by the most iconic and widely recognized photograph of her, showing her facing forward with a calm, focused, and determined expression—an image that has become central to her legacy.
The facial features are intentionally simplified, emphasizing strong, clean lines that preserve the intensity and dignity of her gaze. The hair is stylized into clear, structured volumes with minimal detail, enhancing readability and giving the bust a timeless, balanced appearance. This restrained sculptural approach makes the model particularly well suited for 3D printing.
Marie Curie remains the only person to have received Nobel Prizes in two different scientific fields—physics and chemistry. Her discoveries of polonium and radium paved the way for major advances in modern physics and medical treatments. This bust pays tribute to a visionary scientist whose determination, intellect, and dedication continue to inspire generations around the world.
