Construction Site Window Lock – Stop the "Illegal Shortcuts"! (One-Screw System)
Keep your windows safe during the build. I designed this 5g lightweight cover to replace window handles during construction, preventing unauthorized opening and damage to your frames and thresholds.
Why I created this model:
If you've ever been on a construction site, you know the drill: Windows and balcony doors are constantly misused as "shortcuts" by other subcontractors. This leads to scratched thresholds, damaged seals, and dust-filled gear mechanisms long before the house is even finished.
I developed this Construction Site Safety Cover to put an end to this. It’s a simple, ultra-efficient way to lock your units and keep them in pristine condition until the final handle is installed.
What makes it great:
- The "One-Screw" Win: Time is money on site. Thanks to the integrated 7mm square spindle, this plate cannot rotate once inserted. You only need one single standard M5 screw to lock the window. It’s incredibly fast to install and even faster to swap out later.
- Cover Your Assets: I always recommend taking a quick photo once these are installed. It’s the perfect proof for your records that the windows were locked and protected.
- Protect the Mechanics: It keeps the "heart" of your window (the gear zone) free from plaster, paint splatters, and nasty construction dust.
Professional Grade: It fits almost every standard system out there (e.g., Schüco, VEKA, REHAU, Kömmerling, Heroal, WICONA, HUECK and many more).
Technical Details:
- Hole Spacing: Standard 43 mm.
- Square Spindle: 7 mm (Length: 30 mm).
- Screw Type: Standard M5 window screws.
- Efficiency: Only 5g of filament. You can print a whole fleet (up to 40 pieces) in one go!
