Decorative Ribbed Lampshade – Modern Light Cover

A modern ribbed lampshade designed for ambient lighting. Clean geometry and optimized for reliable 3D printing. 

This lampshade was designed as a functional decorative object, combining clean geometry with a ribbed surface that enhances light diffusion and visual depth.

The ribbed structure is not only an aesthetic choice but also plays a practical role by softening and scattering the light, reducing glare and creating a warm, ambient atmosphere. When printed in translucent PETG, the material interacts with the geometry to produce subtle gradients and an even glow across the surface.

The model is intended for standard LED light sources only. Due to the internal geometry, supports are required during printing to ensure dimensional accuracy and proper layer adhesion in overhanging areas. Standard support settings are sufficient, and supports can be removed cleanly after printing.

This lampshade is suitable for use as a desk lamp, bedside lamp, or ambient accent light in modern interiors. Its minimalist form allows it to blend into various design styles while still functioning as a visual focal point when illuminated.

Best visual results are achieved with:

• translucent or semi-transparent PETG
• light-colored filaments
• slightly reduced outer wall speed for smoother surface finish

The lampshade is designed to be compatible with standard E27 lamp holders and common EU power cords.

The inner opening of the lampshade is sized to fit securely over a standard E27 socket without additional adapters.
