Autonomous Pallet Handling Demonstrator – Scan Tunnel & Robotic Pallet Arm

This project demonstrates an autonomous pallet handling system, designed to showcase how pallets can be automatically detected, scanned, and manipulated within an industrial environment. The demonstrator focuses on automation, system integration, and practical application of industrial components.

The system consists of:

• An autonomous pallet transport flow
• A scan gate / tunnel for pallet detection and identification
• An Omron-controlled robotic pallet arm for handling and positioning pallets

As pallets move autonomously through the system, they pass through the scan tunnel where their presence and position are detected. Based on this data, the Omron-controlled pallet arm responds accordingly, demonstrating automated decision-making and precise mechanical interaction.

The demonstrator is built to clearly visualize the interaction between sensors, control logic, and mechanical actuation, making it suitable for educational purposes and technical demonstrations.
