Polymaker HT-PLA to Bambu Lab spool adapter insert

My Polymaker HT-PLA cardboard spools were getting trashed in my AMS Pro 2.

I tried some edge guards (several models on here) but they added to much to the diameter and seemed to get hung up in my AMS.

These little insert adapters fill the gap between the Polymaker cardboard spool and the Bambu Lab reuseable spools. So you can use your Polymaker HT-PLA on a bambu spool and it will still retract.

To make the transfer to the Bambu spool:

1. Print this insert.
2. Take the Bambu spool apart and slide this insert onto the Bambu spool side that has the taller inner portion. I lke to addd a drop of hot glue down in there but it's probably not necessary. Push it all the way on.
3. Lay that flat on the table.
4. Now grab the Polymaker spool and look inside of of the center core to see which side the end of the filament is coming through. You want to leave that side closest to the end of the filament attached. You can see it in images #5 & 6 (I ripped the wrong side off first on this one)
5.  Grab the tip of your filament and while holding it (or masking tape it on), tear off the side of the spool furthest away from that inner filament tail. 
6. Make sure you remove any excess cardboard from that core.
7. Slide the core onto your adapted Bambu spool. You will have to fidget with it but once it goes on it shoud be nice and snug.
8. Lock the other side of the spool on.
9. Print away!

If your adapted spool doesn't retract correctly in your AMS:

While holding your filament, undo the Bambu spool and pull off the shorter side. Drop a dab of hot glue between the taller bambu spool half and the 3D printed adapter. Let it cool for a moment then reattach that shorter side.
