RescueTag
Print Profile(1)

Description
The RescueTag is a practical tag that can be read out via NFC technology. It stores important information such as emergency contacts and medical data and can thus save lives in an emergency.
The tag can store the following data:
- Name
- Address
- Date of Birth
- Health Insurance
- Living Will Yes/No
- Organ Donor Yes/No
- Pre-existing conditions
- Medication plan
- Special notes
- Emergency contacts
While other solutions require highly private and confidential data to be stored on external servers and thus no longer be fully under one's own control, with the RescueTag all data is stored exclusively locally on the tag
The data is written directly to the RescueTag via an app (Android & iOS). No transmission to external servers takes place.
To read the information, the smartphone must be held very close to the tag. Further details can be found on the project page:
https://www.rescuetag.org
The tag is printed in two colors. At Layer 14, the printing process is paused to insert an NTAG216 RFID chip (important: Only this chip offers sufficient storage space with approx. 888 usable bytes). The chip is inserted into the circular recess. It is recommended to thinly coat the surface of the self-adhesive RFID tag with a glue stick (e.g., Pritt or similar) before continuing the print, so that the subsequent layers adhere better. RFID tags can be obtained, for example, on Amazon. Simply search for NTAG216 and make sure you order and receive NTAG216 :-)
It is expressly permitted to print and distribute RescueTag tags and to charge a contribution towards expenses for them. However, this should not exceed 5 Euros (or the equivalent in the respective local currency). Commercial use is expressly prohibited.
