Manual Crank-Driven Spreader – 3D Printed
This manual spreader is versatile and suitable for de-icing paths as well as spreading fertilizer or seeds. It is entirely hand-operated via a crank. The sturdy container has a large filling opening.
All components are designed to be easily and reliably printed. Only the drive shafts and the container require support during printing. This support is already integrated into the print file and must not be removed as it prevents tilting during the printing process.
How it works
The spreader is driven by a hand crank.
An adjustable regulator allows precise material dosing:
- When filling the container, the regulator is fully closed.
- Before spreading, it can be opened using the rotary knob until the spreading material trickles evenly onto the distribution wheel.
Assembly
The spreader assembly follows the assembly instructions and is straightforward. All parts are designed to be inserted into each other and securely snap into place without screws or adhesive.
Important Assembly Notes:
- Pressing the parts together requires some force. This is by design and ensures that the components fit firmly and without play later on.
- To apply the necessary press-fit force, a solid object such as a piece of wood, a table edge, and/or a hammer with appropriate padding can be helpful.
After assembly, the spreader is immediately ready for use.
