Dual Laptop Stand with Middle Storage Compartment

This laptop stand is designed to hold two laptops simultaneously—one placed underneath the stand and one on top. It is especially practical if you use both a personal laptop and a work laptop. The design prioritizes functionality, stability, and efficient use of desk space.

Side Openings & Power Access

The sides of the stand feature long openings that allow you to pull the laptop slightly toward you. This makes it possible to open the lid and press the power button without removing the laptop from the stand.

For the bottom laptop, it is important to enable usage while the lid is closed.

In Windows 11, search the taskbar for “change what closing the lid does” and set the option to “do nothing.”

Middle Compartment & Structural Support

The middle section includes a compartment for storing an iPad or notebooks. This compartment is not only useful for organization but is also a key structural element that adds rigidity and stability to the entire stand.

Print Recommendation

If you are using a Bambu Textured Smooth Plate, I recommend printing the parts according to my print profile. The second print is flipped so that both outer sides of the laptop stand have the textured surface.

Assembly & Connection Between Stands

The connection between the two stand parts is designed for 6 mm wooden planks.

I recommend using MDF or another stable wood material that maintains strength at this thickness. The edges of the wood planks must be cut to fit the design.

Required Hardware

• 4 × threaded inserts for M2 bolts
• 4 × M2 bolts, length 12 mm
• 4 × standard wood screws for the middle plate (screwed directly into the wood)
