Description
🥩 Modular Salami Pricker - Essential Tool for DIY Charcuterie
Welcome to the Modular Salami Pricker project, an indispensable tool for those who love preparing homemade salami and cured meats. This tool is designed to make uniform holes in the casing, allowing proper air release and ensuring perfect curing without internal mold.
The design is robust, ergonomic, and divided into 3 parts to facilitate printing and assembly.

🧩 The Design (3 Parts)
The project consists of three main components:
- The Base (Needle Holder): This is where the nails are inserted. The holes are calibrated for nails with a diameter of 1.5 mm.
- The Clamping Cap: A round disc that presses on the nail heads, keeping them firmly in place and tensioned against the base.
- The Ergonomic Handle: Designed for a comfortable and secure grip. It has a pre-drilled seat for an M6 bolt that allows you to screw and lock the entire system (Handle + Cap + Base).
🛠️ Required Materials (BOM)
In addition to the printed parts, you will need:
- Stainless Steel Nails: 1.5 mm diameter (Length is up to you, I recommend between 20mm and 30mm). Note: Make sure they are stainless steel for food suitability and rust resistance.
- 1x M6 Bolt: (Hex head or Allen key) to join the handle to the main body.
🔧 Assembly Guide
- Take the Base and insert the stainless steel nails into the holes from the inside out.
- Place the Cap over the nail heads.
- Screw the Handle (with the bolt) to the rest of the body until the cap firmly presses on the nail heads, locking them in place.
