A Godsend for the Lazy! Universal Quick-Change Filament Dryer for 4 Rolls
Print Profile(1)

Description
To address the inconvenience of repeatedly vacuum-sealing vacuum bags when frequently changing filaments, I designed this drying cylinder system. It is primarily suitable for users who want to simplify the filament access process while keeping them dry.

This design can transform a standard 10L sealed bucket into a drying box capable of storing 4 rolls of 1kg filament. The core structure is a central desiccant cylinder that passes through all spools. When you need to change filament, simply pull out this central shaft to quickly access any spool, simplifying the operation.

Key Features
Quick Access Design
The central desiccant cylinder acts as the axis for all spools and can be pulled out as a whole. This makes changing filaments of different colors or types direct and quick, without disturbing the original sealed environment.
Wide Filament Compatibility
The drying cylinder is designed with a diameter of 50mm, making it compatible with most mainstream 1kg spools on the market, such as official Bambu Lab spools, eSUN, R3D, Wucailu, etc.

Integrated Hygrometer and Thermometer
The top cover features a mounting position designed to fit official Bambu Lab (or similar sized) round hygrometers/thermometers, allowing users to monitor the humidity inside the bucket in real-time.
Two-Way Installation Mode
This design supports two installation methods to accommodate different types of bucket lids:
- Upright Installation: Suitable for transparent lids, making it easy to observe the internal filament.
Inverted Installation: Suitable for opaque lids, allowing direct reading of hygrometer/thermometer data from the bottom of the bucket.

Inverted installation, checking temperature and humidity from the bottom (molecular sieve not yet added in the image)
Print-Friendly
The model structure has been optimized to simplify the 3D printing process. The main cylinder can be printed with no supports, reducing post-processing work.
Filling Material
It is recommended to fill the cylinder with color-changing silica gel or molecular sieve desiccant with a particle diameter of 2-4mm.
Printing & Usage Instructions
It is recommended to directly print using the 3MF file I provided, and PETG filament is suggested.
This file already contains all settings that have been actually tested and proven successful for printing, including:
- Optimized model orientation.
- Preset brim parameters to ensure stable adhesion during printing of tall cylinders.
- Manually drawn, minimalist, and easy-to-remove supports to ensure the best printing quality for the threaded top cover.
You just need to import the 3MF file into Bambu Studio, select your printer and filament, and you can start printing directly without any additional adjustments.
You can find storage buckets with similar size requirements yourself, or purchase the same model as mine.
