Description

This is a super easy way to set a specific depth for your tip-ups or jigging rods.  This can be put on your line at any time and can be taken off just as easily.  Simply run your line over the center (between the 2 holes) section of the “S” and move the “S” up or down until you reach your desired amount of line hanging below the “S”.  Once desired depth is reached simply hoop your line over the top and bottom portions of the “S”.  I posted a photo with some clear fishing line and also a few others using baler twine so it's easier to see how the line should end up.  One of the photos with the baler twine shows just the top part looped over and the other one shows how it should look when both the top and bottom have been looped around.  If my instructions aren't clear enough please let me know and I will do my best to draw instructions and post them.

Good print, thanks for posting. I did scale the button down to 60% to fit better on the tipup line.

Thanks for letting me know. What test weight are you using? I’d like to add another profile for it.

I have a thinner 30lbs braid prior to my monofiliment. Here they are at 65 and 55% on the spool. I think 65% is to big for the spool and 55% might be to small to handle with cold fingers. You may also want to increase the depth of the grooves on the narrow ends of the button so theres less of a chance of slipping.

sounds good, I’ll increase the depth on the ends by another mm or 2. Thanks for the feedback!

Worked well on my tip-up. Nice and easy to use when it's cold out and you don't want your gloves off too long.

Glad it worked well for you! If you have any suggestions or recommendations for other useful ice fishing products I’d love to hear them.

Worked great, had to wrap a few extra times to keep them from falling off but worked easier than a bobber.
