Boost Me (for free)

Modeling instruments takes a lot of time and prototypes! Your boost goes towards making even more!

Compatible add-ons:

Apex (n.): The top or highest part of something. Named for its A-root tuning and its peak design, this flute is built for resonance. While the silhouette is futuristic and sharp, the voice is ancient. This drone flute produces a rich, layered harmony in the key of A, utilizing standard Native American Style fingering. If you are tired of the "clunky" look of traditional prints, the Apex offers a sleek, aerodynamic alternative without sacrificing acoustic quality.

Maximum Style, Minimum Swaps

Despite its high-end, multi-color look, the Apex is optimized for a fast and clean printing experience.

  • Minimal Waste: This design uses only 6 color changes to achieve its striking diagonal aesthetic.
  • Modern Impact: You get a bold, "shifted" look that stands out on a shelf without the massive time or filament penalty of typical multi-color models.
  • Clean Transitions: The geometry is specifically laid out to ensure sharp color lines and structural integrity.

The "Atmospheric" Sound

To get that professional, haunting sound you hear in NAF recordings, I recommend adding a touch of "Hall" or "Cathedral" Reverb to your audio. It complements the deep A-root perfectly and smooths out the airy texture of the flute.

Assembly

The 3 parts of the flute should be fitted together tightly. To ensure a snug fit, i recommend to add a small piece of tape around male side of the connectors before pushing them together as one.

The plate should be slid into the dovetails over the sound hole. One side of the plate has a 45 degree angle, that should be pointed towards the end of the flute. Line up the stripes on the plate with the stripes on the flute for easy tuning.

Playing

Use a little less breath on the low notes to keep it from overblowing, a little more on the high to keep them in perfect tune. Use standard native american fingering.
