If you like the design and/ or benefit from the model, I'd be grateful for a boost!
A pair of knurled grip rings to fit to and aid the opening of small 20g tins of Vaseline. These tins can be slippery little blitters and frustrating to open.
Recommendations:
- Designed for printing in TPU. I can recommend Bambu 95A HF - fully dried.
- Increase the default bed temperature by 5 deg C to help bed adhesion - this should already be adjusted in the attached profiles
- For the most secure fit, I suggest applying superglue to the inside surfaces of the grip rings before fitting them to the tin.
- Whilst the attached profiles setting give good results, some filament wisping may be present upon completion of the print. Pull any large bits off with pliers or tweezers. Smaller fine wisps can be easily removed by wafting the parts over the flame of a lighter.
- To help identify the parts after printing - the ring has a more square inner and outer profile and lid is more rounded.
Profiles attached for both grip rings together and both the base and the lid grips each on their own. Default A1 bed temperatures (Textured PEI and Smooth plates) and print speeds preadjusted in the attached profiles.
The base grip ring will stay in place without superglue, however the grip ring for the lid has a tendency to slip off as it sits over an entirely smooth surface. The base grip ring alone, however, makes opening the tin far easier.
Designed for a family member, but I hope that this may be of use to others.
