Uniden radar windshield mount
Print Profile(1)

Description
Low profile windshild mounts for Uniden radar. This mount uses the metal bracket (comes in the box with the radar) that you would normally use with the two clear suction cups. I created 2 versions (slide the metal bracket in from the bottom or from the top) that give flexiblity for preferred method of install.
The model with the gap down the center is designed to slide the bracket from the top and down to the bottom. If using this mount make sure to give yourself enough room above the mount in the event you want to remove the bracket.
The other model with the two tabs is meant to be mounted with the bracket slot facing down so the bracket is slid up and into the mount.
Both models have arrows on the front that should face up for proper install. Tested with the R4 and the R8 brackets and both work with the mounts, assuming that other Uniden radar units (ie R7 and R3) have the same metal bracket then this will work with those as well.
To install:
1. Print the desired mount (I printed these with ABS) but you could use a different material just as long as it will hold up against the heat in the summer.
2. After printing install a piece of double sided tape to the back of the unit but don’t remove the film from the windshield side of the tape. Make sure to firmly press the tape to the mount to ensure it adheres and doesn’t peel off.
3. Install the bracket into the mount and attach your radar unit to the mount. Then find where you want to attach the unit to windshield.
4. Once you found the spot you want to mount the radar, detach the radar from the bracket, peel the flim from the tape and press the mount onto the windshield.
5. Press on all areas of the mount to ensure the tape adheres to the windshield. I would recommend allowing a short amount of time to allow the tape to fully adhere before installing the radar onto the bracket.
6. Install the radar onto the bracket and away you go. If you want to make any adjustments to the angle of the metal bracket, remove it from the mount by sliding up or down to remove then gently bend the bracket and reinstall.
