Joylog Sonar Mount for Bait Boat – Adjustable Arm with Safety Plugs
This project is a durable, fully adjustable mounting arm for the Joylog Sonar, specifically designed for bait boat integration. It features a secure locking system and a lightweight, rigid design to ensure your sonar stays perfectly positioned during operation.

• "Pin & Plug" Security: The sonar is held by a metal pin, which is then locked in place with custom 3D-printed "mushroom" plugs.

• Full Adjustability: Dual-pivot points allow you to fine-tune the depth and angle of the sonar in the water.
• Durable Design: Optimized geometry for high strength-to-weight ratio.
Required Hardware:
To complete the assembly, you will need:
1. Metal Pin: A cut-to-size nail (Diameter: approx. 1.35 mm, Length: approx. 15 mm).
2. Mushroom Plugs: Two included 3D-printed caps to seal the holes.
3. Joint Bolts: Standard M4 or M5 bolts/nuts (depending on your print) to tighten the arm segments.
Assembly Instructions:
1. Print the arm, base, and both mushroom plugs.
2. Cut your metal pin (nail) to a length of 15 mm and smooth the edges.
3. Insert the Joylog sonar into the holder.
4. Slide the metal pin through the mounting hole.
5. Secure the Pin: Press-fit the printed "mushroom" plugs into the holes on both sides. This locks the pin permanently and safely.
6. Mount the base to your bait boat and adjust the angle as needed.
Recommended Print Settings:
• Filament: PETG or ASA (Highly recommended for water contact and UV resistance. PLA is not recommended for long-term outdoor use).
• Infill: 25% or higher (Gyroid or Grid for strength).
• Walls: 3-4 perimeters for structural integrity.
• Layer Height: 0.2mm for the arm; 0.12mm or 0.16mm for the plugs to ensure a precise fit.
