Description

Dummy round for .308 Win / 7.62×51 NATO

Looking for a specific caliber? Check out all the available dummys here: Ammuntion by Snowflake Design

A 3D-printable replica inspired by the classic .308 cal ammo can.
Features

  • Fast print (small part, great for “print-and-go”)
  • Reusable and durable (especially in PETG/ABS)
  • No supports needed
  • Easy to batch print multiple clips at once

The geometry is FDM-friendly and works well on most printers.

Recommended Print Settings (FDM)

  • Material: PLA works great, or PETG
  • Layer height: 0.20 mm (0.16 mm for an even nicer finish)
  • Walls: 3-4
  • Infill: 10–20% (increase if you want a heavier, more rigid feel)
  • Supports: only if your printer struggles with overhangs (varies by setup)
  • Orientation: Flat on the build plate

Tip: For the best fit on mating surfaces, make sure your first layer isn’t over-squished and consider a light deburr/sanding if needed.

Disclaimer:
This is a non-functional replica/prop for display and general storage only.
