  • Hot wheels toy car x 1:

Description

Together with first A1 I received Marble run kit as a present. For couple of month it was staying in the box, but then I decided to use motor from this kit and designed round drift cars diorama. For race track piece I used image to keychain tool.

Brief manual:

  1. Place motor to it's designated place and screw it in place.
  2. Mount rotating base on top of a motor to designated groove.
  3. Glue in magnets and place 4 pieces of double sided tape without removing top layer (you need to decrease friction and not to stick it to top layer.
  4. Put race track drawing printed piece into place on top of base
  5. Place thick double sided tape on two magnets and put them on the race track (distance between them approx. 4cm, they will be attracted into place by magnets on rotating base)
  6. Place toy car model on top of these magnets and stick them to the bottom of the car.
  7. Plug it to USB and drift away

What you'll need:

Marble Run components kit 003 (USB motor from this kit) I'm still thinking where to use marbles

Magnets - 10x1.5mm size (can be thicker). 16 for base part (or less) and 2 for each car

Double sided tape (to put on rotating base to decrease friction and to stick magnets under Hot wheels cars)

Super glue to stick magnets to rotating base

At least 1 Hot Wheels car or similar size model (for drifting race), smaller scale models for regular race.

Total print time 9 hours, 320g of plastic, at least 2 colors are needed (AMS).

In upcoming versions will be changing base to resemble drift tire. Planning to add smoke part to attach it to toy car.

Any other suggestions are welcomed!
