Description
This is a practical, two-piece solution for feeding wild birds with suet balls. The mount is designed to be securely attached to any tree branch using two small zip-ties, providing a much more stable and durable solution than the net itself.
Key Features
- Secure Mounting: Attaches firmly to branches (recommended diameter: 7–25 mm) with two zip-ties.
- Easy Refill: Includes a custom-designed 3D-printed carabiner for quick hanging and removal of the suet ball mesh.
- Durable Design: Robust construction to withstand wind and the weight of various bird species.
Print Settings
- Material: PETG, ASA, or ABS are highly recommended for outdoor use. PLA will become brittle over time due to UV exposure and moisture.
- Orientation: * Print the Mount on its side or as shown in the CAD file for best strength.
- Print the Carabiner flat on the heatbed to ensure maximum flexibility and strength along the layer lines.
- Infill: 20–30% (Grid or Gyroid).
- Supports: Not required for most printers if oriented correctly.
Required Hardware
- 2x small Zip-Ties (up to 2mm width).
