Description

I have designed a 3D-printed replacement handle mount for the WHIRLPOOL SW8AM2YWR2 fridge door handle. This part closely resembles the original, with a slight modification - it is approximately 3mm thicker to improve its durability.

When the handle on my fridge broke, and I couldn't find a suitable replacement online, I took it upon myself to design this replacement.

To ensure a sturdy result, I recommend printing it with a minimum of 7 wall layers (prioritize additional walls over increased infill) and 4 bottom and top shell layers. The printed part weighs approximately 60g.

I have also created a video on YouTube demonstrating the repair process, although I apologize for the suboptimal video quality due to the limitation of having only two hands to work with. I would like to note that assembling the replacement handle mount is remarkably straightforward; it involves sliding the perfectly fitting parts into the metal profiles of the handle and securing them with the original screws used for the fridge door.

Please note that you will need the original screws that were used for the original handle to complete this replacement.
