This marble-style bust represents Franz Joseph Haydn, one of the most influential composers of the Classical period and a central figure in the history of Western music.
Often referred to as the “Father of the Symphony” and the “Father of the String Quartet”, Haydn played a fundamental role in shaping musical forms that would later be perfected by Mozart and Beethoven. His work is known for its balance, clarity, inventiveness, and subtle sense of humor.
This bust was inspired by his most famous portraits, with particular care given to facial proportions and his distinctive 18th-century features. The sculptural approach favors strong volumes and simplified forms, avoiding excessive detail to preserve a clean, timeless, and readable classical aesthetic.
