Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you appreciated the work behind this design, a boost would be greatly appreciated.

It helps cover printing costs and enables continued prototyping of new designs.

This tweeter pod is designed specifically for the Toyota Supra MK3 and allows installation of a tweeter in the A-pillar, replacing the original A-pillar / sail panel trim.

Recommended version:

The Alpine S2-S65C variant is the most refined and recommended option.
Other designs have been uploaded upon request and should be considered more universal solutions rather than fully optimized fits.

Current variants:

Hertz MP25 – 50 mm outer, 42 mm inner, 18 mm deep
JL Audio C1-100ct – 50 mm outer, 45.5 mm inner, 12 mm deep

Alpine S2-S65C

Note regarding mounting:

The current version includes printed mounting pins, but these are not yet fully refined and may not provide a perfect fit. An improved pin design will be released in a future version.
For now, double-sided tape is recommended for installation and has proven to work well in practice.

The mounting pins are printed as separate parts and are intended to be glued in place after printing. This design choice ensures proper contact between the pod and the build plate during printing, improving print quality and dimensional accuracy.

Due to the elevated temperatures commonly found inside vehicles, PLA is not recommended and no PLA print profile is provided. For best results, the pod should be printed in ABS. PETG may be used as an alternative if the vehicle is not exposed to extreme interior temperatures.

Please note that there are different variants among the build plates/files.

If you require any modifications, feel free to leave a comment. I’m happy to provide a revised version tailored to your specific measurements or requirements.

What tweeter were you looking at for this? It seems like the hole is larger than the typical tweeter hole?

This is the tweeter the pods were designed for: https://hertz-audio.com/product/car-audio-tweeters-mille-pro-ml25_3/

Replying to @feggis :
You may either design a sleeve to fit a smaller tweeter or I can adjust the measurements for another size if you supply me a PN on any other tweeter. BR

could you adjust it to work with a JL Audio C1-100ct?
