Description

Update 25/05/2026

Added a small How to use paragraph.

My Girlfriend was struggling to use correctly the magnet while doing her Nail Art, so she asked if I could design something to help her be more consistent, with the ability to quickly change angle.

I came up with this solution, a rotating holder for the magnet.

How to use

The idea around this type of nail art is that if you are using a magnetic Nail Polish (Nail polish with metal flakes inside) you can use a magnet to “control” the direction of those and create effects.

You usually do that keeping a magnet near the nail that has been polished with metallic Nail Polish. That is easy to do but keeping the same angle and distance might be difficult if done ‘by hand’ if you're looking for a consistent application.

This model allows you to keep the same distance, and also the same angle by rotating  the magnet how you want it and just  switch finger.

To use this effectively you need

  1. Magnetic Nail Polish
  2. Magnet to use with this model
  3. This model printed and assembled with the magnets

Once assembled you select the rotation adn test the effect, once you are happy you can switch finger to keep the same angle and the same effect.

The profile comes with 2 models inside:

  • one contains the rotating magnet holder
  • the other is the finger tunnel

Usage:

Insert a 8mm cylindrical magnet (up to 25 mm length, you can use 12  8x2 magnets if you do not have a longer one) in the cilindrical enclosure, put that on top of the finger tunnel. Now you can rotate it for the desired angle and be consistent in each finger. Put you finger in and be amazed with the resuslts.
