Roller Blind Bottom Bar Fixing Hooks
This project aims to solve a very common problem with window roller blinds: the bottom bar swinging, banging, or detaching when windy or when the window is opened in a tilt position
The system consists of two 3D printed hooks, designed to be attached directly to the window frame using double-sided tape (e.g., 3M type acrylic double-sided tape)
No drilling, screws, or permanent modifications to the window are required
🔧 How it works
- The two hooks should be positioned laterally on the window frame, at the desired height
- To hook the blind, simply pull the bar down and push it slightly towards the hooks
- To unhook it, simply pull the bar slightly towards you
The profile of the hooks is designed to ensure a secure attachment that is also quick and intuitive

📏 Compatibility and customization
The model is designed for bottom bars with a diameter of 15 mm
However, it is easily adaptable to other diameters by simply printing the model to scale:
- Example:
- 18 mm bar → print at 120%
- Smaller bar → scale less than 100%
🖨️ Printing tips
- Recommended material: PLA (PETG recommended in very hot environments)
- No supports needed
- Orientation: base flat on the build plate
- Medium infill (20–30%) more than sufficient for the intended use
