M3 Carbon Steel Hex Nut (20PCS) - AB005

Description

Finally a mount for your Hypergo 12212!

This is a work in progress, but in its current form it securely attaches a GoPro (Hero 8-13)  to the rear of the car, replacing the part that holds the two pins for the shell.

A few caveats:

  • I haven't tested the pins with the original shell for the car so I'm unsure if it fits.
  • The shell will not fit with the GoPro mounted
  • The weight of the GoPro will make your car more prone to wheelies and handle differently.
  • Because of the above considerations, you will scratch up your GoPro if you use this on hard surfaces.

I have attached the STEP and STL files if you'd like to make your own edits. Please share them!

Printing

I printed mine in PCTG Black:

  • 100% rectilinear infill
  • 6 walls
  • 0.2mm layer
  • Supports (bed only) for the pins
  • 85C bed temp for PCTG to avoid warping

You will need:

1 x M5 Nut

2 x M3x12 bolts for mounting to the shock tower (the stock ones are 10mm and will also work probably fine)

Please let me know if this was useful to you or if you have any suggestions! I'm currently trying to work on a full replacement shell/roll cage which integrates the GoPro as well, but this could take months or more realistically never happen.
