Description

The Ferrix Vault is designed to store and organize a large number of trading or collectible cards. While it follows the same overall aesthetic as my previous deck boxes, this version is scaled up significantly and intended for bulk storage rather than single-deck transport.

The vault measures 250mm x 250mm x 90mm without the lid, and 250mm x 250mm x 115mm with the lid installed. Inside are multiple partitions, each measuring 75mm wide by 236mm long, suitable for holding large stacks of single-sleeved cards.

Each section includes a slot on both the front and back faces that can accommodate Ultra Pro Mini Snap cases or Gamegenic Slide Cases. You can also design your own insert for those spaces using these dimensions: 95.6mm x 69.6mm x 5.6mm give or take depending on the tolerances of your printer.

The lid is designed to sit securely on the vault but is not intended to pass aggressive shake or drop tests. This model prioritizes storage and organization over travel durability.

Printing Notes:

I’ve printed this model primarily on a Creality K2 Plus and Creality Hi using the following settings:

Layer heights: 0.2mm and 0.28mm

No supports required

15% infill

3 perimeter walls for durability (I've also tested with 2 walls and it seems sufficient)

5 top and bottom solid layers

Printed using stock Creality Hyper PLA profiles as well as Polymaker Panchroma CoPE using generic PLA settings

On my Creality Hi, I experienced some minor corner lifting, with or without a brim, but overall the print was successful. There is also what appears to be a benchy hull line–style artifact where the top surfaces are printed for the bottom of each section.  It doesn't bother me and I'm too lazy to tweak the settings to try and remediate it.

The 3mf file included is basically for a fully populated version of the Ferrix Vault just to give someone an idea of what that would look like when printed on a Creality Hi.

NOTE: I've included two different lids one with the Star Wars Unlimited logo and one plain. Also included are the divider and a blank panel. The divider and blank panel should help give you an idea of the dimensions used so you can create your own.
