Description

Download area for Mach 3 Collection backers

If you backed the Mach 3 Collection, you can download your files here.

This collection includes all three MasterBuilds aircraft:

the A-10 “Warthog”, the F-15E “Strike Eagle”, and the SR-71 “Blackbird”, along with all unlocked stretch goals from each campaign.

What started with the A-10 Warthog quickly became something much bigger. The incredible trust and support from the community made it clear that the MasterBuilds series was just getting started.

From the brutal close air support role of the A-10, through the unmatched combat record of the F-15E, to the extreme altitude and speed of the SR-71 Blackbird, this collection represents a journey across generations of air power, now ready to take flight straight from your 3D printer.

Thank you for being part of this mission.

This legendary reconnaissance aircraft is reimagined in the signature MasterBuilds SnapKit style -

no glue, no supports, only pure precision and detail.

With 70 cm in length, the SR-71 is the largest and most detailed MasterBuild yet.

Every curve, panel line, and engine contour was carefully modeled to capture the sleek, stealthy soul of the fastest jet ever built.

  • Completely snap-fit every part locks together with precision, no glue required

  • Fully supportless optimized slicing means less wasted filament and zero cleanup

  • Smart part splitting hides layer lines and achieves a smooth, die-cast-like finish

  • Accurate airfoil-shaped wings and crisp panel lines faithfully capture the aircraft’s geometry

  • 1:48 scale, 70 cm length, display-worthy size with striking presence

If you enjoyed the A-10 and F-15E, you’ll love this one - a true collector’s piece for the end of the year.

Join the mission and bring the Blackbird to your hangar.

Thanks for the feedback, and I’m glad the print came out great! You actually didn’t need to mirror that part 🙂 On the real aircraft, the insignia placement is asymmetric on purpose: the roundel/logo is on the upper surface of the left wing and on the lower surface of the right wing. This dates back to early identification practices, so aircraft could be recognized from both above and below. Because of that, the wing sections are intentionally not identical. By mirroring it along the X-axis, the emblem placement ends up incorrect compared to the real layout. Totally understandable confusion though, it catches a lot of people the first time.

Good call, lol. I just looked over the actual aircraft again and yeah not sure how I missed that. 😂 I could have sworn they were both on top.

The kit is simply sensational. I printed the cockpit to see if I could get a smoother finish for the cabin. But even so, the curves of the last layers are still a little more noticeable. See if there's any adjustment I can make to improve the finish. But it's a sensational kit. I thought it was incredible.

I imagine you have already tried variable layer height

No, I used the default settings that came with the template. But I made another part in 0.16 and it turned out alittle better.

The only other option to print those surfaces possibly a little smoother would be to print the cockpit on its side, but then you introduce the need for supports

Any chance you may eventually make one of the real tail flashes for this?

Excellent models, incredibly well made. I do have some issues with color contamination and rugged holes in sections of the print though. This happens on both the Warthog and F-15. Any idea what is causing this? I am using your print profile. Brand new Bambu fillament straight out of the bag.

This is under-extrusion. You will need to investigate the possible causes with your printer
