Torx Bit "Revolver" Case – For Long Bits (100mm)

A robust, cylindrical storage box in "revolver" style, specially designed for long (100mm) hex bits (e.g., Torx). Features a smooth screw thread and an elegant, flush design without protruding edges – perfect for your work bag.

No more loose bits in your toolbox!

This box was designed to securely and compactly store a set of 11 long Torx screwdriver bits (100mm length, 1/4" hex shank). The design is minimalist and functional: when closed, the base and lid form a perfect cylinder with a 45mm diameter.

Features:

• Capacity: Space for 11 long bits (tested with T6 to T40).
• Flush Design: The lid closes flush with the base – no edges to snag in your bag.
• Revolver Arrangement: The bits are arranged circularly, easy to grab, and won't rattle.
• Screw Cap: Solid M42 thread with optimized tolerance. The lid turns smoothly but holds securely.
• Robust: Thick wall thicknesses (3mm) make the box suitable for construction sites.

The Design in Detail: The thread was specifically modeled ("Modeled Thread") and given a tolerance of 0.15mm, so it fits perfectly right out of the printer, without post-processing.

Print Instructions (Print Settings)

For a successful print and smooth thread operation, please note the following:

• Material: PLA, PLA+ or PETG (PETG is more robust for tools).
• Orientation (Important!):
  • Base: Print standing upright (as in use).
  • Lid: Print upside down (opening facing up)! This way, no support is needed for the internal thread.
• Layer height: 0.20 mm (Standard) or 0.16 mm for an even finer thread.
• Walls: At least 3 wall lines (Wall Loops) for stability.
• Infill: 15% to 20% (Grid or Gyroid).
• Supports: No (if the lid is rotated).

For the logo in the lid (Optional): The Torx symbol on the lid is flush-mounted. If you have an AMS (Multicolor), you can simply color the symbol. Without AMS, you can change the color of the top layers (Color Change at height).
