Description
This is a plain bearing model of a Worthington reciprocating compressor from the chemical industry
The bearing (original size approx. Ø-200mm) connects the connecting rod mounted on the crankshaft to the piston rod via the crosshead and was scanned with a professional 3D scanner during an overhaul and provided as an .stl file. In addition to the bearing, I designed a stand on which it can be displayed
The display tray is designed so that the bearing stays on it without sliding off, so it does not need to be glued. However, I recommend gluing the display tray to the stand. For correct positioning, the tray has a small pin on the underside, which should rest against the inside of the shorter stand
The stand can optionally be printed with or without recesses for the labels. The empty labels can easily be customized and labeled in BambuStudio and attached to the "plain bearing stand with labels". In my case, the labels can simply be pressed in without glue. If this is not the case for you, I recommend model glue. The labeled signs in the example were printed with a 0.2mm nozzle, but they are also easily printable with a 0.4mm nozzle
