Parametric Screwdriver Shelf for Ikea Skadis

This model is a fully parametric screwdriver shelf generator designed for the IKEA SKÅDIS system.

Over time, I’ve released several different screwdriver shelves, racks, and needle file holders. However, the most common question kept coming back again and again: “Can you modify it for my tools?”

Instead of creating countless variations, I decided to put the control in your hands.

With this generator, you can configure the shelf to match your exact screwdrivers, handle size, shaft diameter, spacing, depth, and overall width.
It works equally well for classic screwdrivers, precision drivers, or even needle files.

The design is optimized for clean printing, solid strength, and reliable mounting on SKÅDIS hooks, while still remaining highly customizable.

⚠️ Please note: due to the parametric nature of the model, extreme or unrealistic parameter combinations may produce invalid geometry. Stick to sensible values for best results.

⚠️ SKADIS hooks are included in the enclosed print profile.

Available parameters

• total_width - total width of the holder.
• handle_diam - diameter of the screwdriver handle cutout.
• shaft_diam - diameter of the shaft cutout.
• total_extr  - total thickness of the holder.
• chamfer_size - size of chamfers applied to edges and cutouts.
• dist_from_front_edge - offset of the handle_diam cutout from the front edge of the holder.
• cutout_count - number of screwdrivers to store.
• cutout_spacing - distance between the centers of adjacent cutouts.
• cutout_depth - how deep the handle sits inside the holder. Must be smaller than total_extr.
• dist_from_back_edge - offset of the handle_diam cutout from the back edge of the holder. Minimum value is 0 mm, which effectively results in an 8 mm offset, required to allow proper mounting of SKÅDIS hooks.

The Hook Lock is a highly recommended add-on that keeps your Skadis hooks firmly in place, preventing any wobbling, loosening, or accidental fallouts. It’s a simple yet essential upgrade that ensures a stable and worry-free setup every time.
