Description
The Monster of Hawkins: Demogorgon Funko-Style Mini
"The Demogorgon... it got me."
The gate to the Upside Down has been opened! Bring the terror of Hawkins to your 3D printer with this Demogorgon Inspired Mini Figure. Modeled faithfully from the limited edition Kinder Joy collectible, this figure takes the scariest monster from Stranger Things and gives it that signature "Funko-style" charm.
With its iconic "flower" face fully bloomed and roaring, this model strikes the perfect balance between creepy and cute. It’s a must-have for dungeon masters, creature feature fans, and anyone brave enough to display a predator on their desk.
🦷 Model Highlights:
- Monster Detail: Captures the intricate "petal" mouth and teeth while maintaining a printable, stylized look.
- Clean Geometry: 🔧 Designed with smooth printing in mind—no non-manifold edges or holes.
- Collector Scale: Perfectly sized to match other Funko Minis or Kinder collectibles, but high-res enough to scale up for a centerpiece.
- The Ultimate Paint Challenge: This model is a texturing dream—perfect for practicing organic painting techniques.
🖨️ Printing Recommendations
The Demogorgon has organic curves and sharp teeth. To capture every terrifying detail, use these settings:
- Nozzle: 0.4mm is fine, but a 0.2mm nozzle will make the teeth and facial petals look incredibly sharp.
- Layer Height: 0.08mm - 0.12mm. The smoother the layers, the more "skin-like" the final print will look.
- Infill: 15-20% Gyroid or Grid.
- Supports: Tree Supports (Auto) are ESSENTIAL for this model. The head petals and outstretched claws need support. Tree supports will be much easier to remove from the delicate mouth area than standard supports.
- Material: Grey PLA (easiest to paint) or Resin (for maximum smoothness).
🎨 The Painting Project: Fleshy & Scary
Note: This model is a digital file intended to be printed and painted by you!
This is where the fun begins. The Demogorgon is all about organic, messy textures:
- The Skin: Start with a dark grey or muddy beige base coat. Use a "black wash" (watered-down black paint) to get into the crevices and muscle definitions.
- The Mouth: This is the focal point! Paint the inside deep red/purple.
- The Teeth: Carefully pick out the teeth in bone white or yellow.
- Dry Brushing: Lightly brush a lighter grey over the raised areas of the skin to make the details pop.
- The Finish: Add a coat of Gloss Varnish to the inside of the mouth to make it look wet, slimy, and alive! 💧
