Description

Older models of the Creative Outlier wireless earbuds featured plastic covers that also functioned as buttons. A common issue with these is that the adhesive eventually fails, causing the covers to peel off and get lost. Since official replacement parts are nowhere to be found, I designed these so you can print them at home.

Material Recommendations:

  • TPU (Recommended): Since these need to be pressed, using a flexible material like TPU provides the best tactile feel and ease of use.
  • PETG / PLA: These materials also work, but keep in mind that the button will feel much stiffer and require more force to click.

Design Details: The model respects the original curvature and includes the small alignment tab that fits into the earbud’s housing.

Assembly Note: Regardless of the material used, you will need to use a small drop of glue to secure them permanently in place.
