Description
This isn't your typical blocky 3D-printed replacement. Designed in OpenSCAD, this handle replicates the slender, organic aesthetic of vintage cast-iron industrial valves. It’s perfect for both functional plumbing repairs (garden taps, gate valves) and creative DIY projects like steampunk pipe lamps, furniture, or cosplay props.
The "dish" design features a reinforced tapered hub and a Y-spoke lattice that balances a lightweight, skeletal look with the high strength required for mechanical use.

Critical Strength Settings:
To ensure the handle can withstand high torque without stripping the square socket:
Wall Loops: Set to 5–6 Walls. This creates a solid block of plastic around the spindle.
Infill/Wall Overlap: Set to 25%. This ensures the spokes are aggressively bonded to the hub.
Wall Order: Inner/Outer. Best for dimensional accuracy on the 7mm square hole.
Material: * Functional: Use PETG, ASA, or ABS. (Avoid PLA for outdoor or hot water use).
Decorative: Use Silk PLA for a metallic "antique" look.
Technical Specs:
Socket: 7mm Square x 8.5mm Depth.
Diameter: 54mm (standard) / 75mm (high leverage).
Hardware Required: M3 Bolt (Length depends on your valve stem, but 12mm–16mm is usually ideal to pass through the 2.5mm hub floor).
Design Tip: For a real "antique" look, print in Black and use a little "Rub 'n Buff" metallic wax to highlight the edges of the rim!
