Description

Pottery Wheel Throwing Gauge – Consistent Forms, Every Time

This throwing gauge is designed to help potters achieve consistent sizes and proportions while throwing on the wheel. It slots neatly into one of the tool holder holes on your splash pan, keeping it securely in place and perfectly positioned while you work.

Once installed, the gauge gives you a fixed reference point for height and diameter, making it much easier to throw matching pieces over and over again. Ideal for production runs of mugs, bowls, tumblers, or any form where accuracy and repeatability matter.

Designed to fit into my pottery wheel tool holder design which has been included in this part profile., this simple but effective tool removes guesswork from throwing and helps build muscle memory while improving consistency across your work.

Features:

  • Slots into a splash pan tool holder hole (file included)
  • Provides a reliable height/diameter reference while throwing
  • Helps create repeatable, consistent forms
  • Great for production pottery and skill building
  • Compact, sturdy, and easy to print

The pottery tool holder will need to be printed separately, if you have already printed my original tool holder design you will have to re print this profile as the holes sizes are different and wont match up.

I printed the main structure in PTGE and the needles that slot in on the arms end where printed in PLA. I'm sure PLA would work out just fine also.

Perfect for potters who want cleaner sets, faster workflow, and more control at the wheel.

Design is for NON commercial use meaning please dont sell this on as its my design and i have the rights to it.

kindest regards
