Description
Diatoms are unicellular microalgae with siliceous walls, present in marine and continental waters.
They perform photosynthesis and produce a significant amount of oxygen.
They contribute to climate regulation. They are also excellent bioindicators of water quality as well as
decisive in forensic expertise.
Their size is between 10 and 300 micrometers only microphotography under a microscope can visualize them
