Thanks to WLED control, you can simulate explosions, display gentle wave movements, or make the mine pulsate to the rhythm of your music

🛠 Required Hardware (BOM)
For this project, you will need the following components
- LEDs: 40x WS2811 12mm Diffused LED Pixel (12V or 5V version)
- Controller: ESP32 or ESP8266 with WLED
- Power Supply: Suitable for the voltage of your LEDs (e.g. 5V/4A or 12V/2A)
- Material: PLA or PETG in Black/Gray (body) and Transparent/White (spikes)
🔧 Assembly Instructions
- Preparation: Print all parts
- LED Installation: Press the 12mm WS2811 pixels from the inside into the horn receptacles. The wiring is done in a continuous chain. A cable must be routed through the chain and either connected with a plug or soldered together. I used solder connectors for this
- Controller: Insert the GLEDOPTO controller into the base and place the cable in the guide
- Assembly: Join the two sphere halves with the small plug connectors. Screw the chain to the sphere with the threaded insert. Then screw the chain and sphere onto the base
- Software: Connect the controller to your WLAN and configure 40 LEDs in WLED
