The prototype of the Japanese MRJ passenger aircraft (later renamed SpaceJet) was primarily the MRJ90 model.
The MRJ project built a total of 8 prototypes, of which 7 were MRJ90 configurations and 1 was MRJ70 configuration. The first prototype, numbered JA21MJ, factory number 10001, made its maiden flight on November 11, 2015.
